I had a little time to myself this weekend and this is one of the projects I’ve been working on.  This card uses an extra card base I had from demonstrating the acetate window card in my February technique classes, CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) from Janet Wakeland at  I have been working on a set of cards using the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack; the design of these cards lend themselves to traditional and pocket page scrapbooking, gift tags, card designs and more.  I’ll be posting more card designs and details of this class on my Stampin’ Up! Events page real soon — check back here  for date & time and you can shop for these products by clicking on the pictures below! If you live in Canada and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, please use this month’s Hostess Code: MQVJRPKM for your purchases.   You’ll receive a thank you note from me and a little Surprise & Delight package of Stampin’ Up! product  — just be sure you haven’t checked “no contact” in your online order (if you do the “no contact”, I won’t have any way to contact you and send the free product your way).  Happy Stampin’!

Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop — Last Call for Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop — Bubble Over

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for March 2018. This month our theme is Last Call for Sale-a-Bration! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Sue Patrsyk @ or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup near the bottom of my post (just above the Product List, will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Remarkable InkBig SAB 1

Have you ever had a project on your list of To-Do’s and you’re so sure you have everything you need to make it?  That’s how I felt and then discovered, oh no, I didn’t order the stamp set — ugh!!  Well that was me this week.  I cased Lisa Curcio’s Bubble Over Trio card for some stamping time with friends this week and then needed to adjust — instead of using the stamp set for the 3/4″ circles on top of the white label on each bottle and greeting, I punched out circles from the fun Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper, Bubbles & Fizz and chose a different greeting for the embossed silver words on the strip of Basic Black cardstock.  A strip of all-over bottle pattern from the Designer Series Paper added to the inside of the card near the right edge and my project was complete!

My friends really enjoyed making the card with me and I hope you give the project a try too!

Sale-A-Bration 2018 is so close to finishing up for this year and new items were added by Stampin’  Up! this week: (these are the newest additions; for the complete list, click here to view all the items you can pick from for each $60 CAD you spend on merchandise between now and March 31st)

SAB 3rd List of FREE

I love to surprise and delight my customers and Ink And Sparkle Stamping Teammates — contact me directly for more information and to join the fun!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are on my blog – Sue Patrsyk @, so check the blog hop line up list — next is the creative Beth McCullough at — enjoy!

RemARKably Created Blog Hope — Celebrating Easter

RCTC EasterHop

The Easter season is truly one that brings hope in a way that nothing else can.  I’m so glad to use the Hold Onto Hope stamp set and Cross of Hope framelit dies from the Occasions Catalogue.  This bundle is definitely one that will be a keeper in my Stampin’ studio.  I can see using it for crafting in so many ways (baptism cards, sympathy cards, cards of encouragement, scrapbooking lots of different occasions, not just Easter, too).  Anytime I’d like to remind someone that they are loved, this stamp set will be on the short list.

I was inspired by Lisa Curcio’s March 6, 2018 post at but decided to go a slightly different direction with colour combinations, trim choice and a few other features.  I would, however, call this a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of the original project as her card definitely got my creativity started.  I actually had a picture in my head of my alternative card and was so super happy when I liked it in real life too!!  Isn’t it wonderful when things come together as we were imagining!!

RCTC Easter Hop 2018_2

Did you catch the technique on this card using the Classic Label punch?  I used the point of the punch to make a notch in the Wood Textures paper stack layer about half an inch before the bottom of the layer on the right and left edges then used the notch to wrap the Very Vanilla Lace Trim and Linen Thread.  I really like the rustic feel of the project and hope that you do too!

RCTC Easter Hop 2018_3

My other tip today: use the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to glue to Copper Foil cross to the solid cross framelit cut from a scrap of Wood Textures Designer Series paper.  The adhesive sheets make it a breeze to adhere any detailed framelit and I’m so glad Stampin’ Up! brought them back from years ago — a real sanity saver!

The Hold Onto Hop Stamp Set was designed by Brandy Cox as part of her achievement of one million dollars in career sales — what an amazing feat and what a creative design.   As the Stampin’ Up! catalogue describes, “Sometimes you need hope.  And sometimes you need someone to remind you that God is there for you”.

You’ll get a sense very quickly in my classes or on my social media that spiritual topics are super important to me.  I’m glad to share my card with you today and add my wishes to a Happy Easter and a renewed sense of how loved you are.  This is the season that really brings to focus the huge sacrifice given by God for each one of us.  Be blessed.

RemArkable Ink Big Blog Hop – National Craft Month – Picture Perfect Party Suite

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for March 2018. This month our theme is Anything Crafty! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog or may have come from the talented and creative Anna Krol of  Anna’s Stampin’ Cave in the UK.  If you get off track at any time, the full line-up is below to help you move from to blog to blog so you don’t miss any of the fantastic projects.

As soon as I read this month’s theme, I knew exactly which suite of Stampin’ Up! products I wanted to play with — the Picture Perfect Party Suite for sure (all those P’s – so much fun to say!!). Two of these cards are directly CASE’d (Copy and Share Everything)
from page 4 of the wonderful Occasions Catalogue. The third (the smaller, notecard size) uses a special cutting technique posted by Patty Bennett, one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. She constantly shares tips and tricks to get the most out of our Stampin’ Up! products. She posted way back in the summer of 2016 the how-to’s to cutting the beautiful Serene Scenery 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper so that you’d be able to create 2 beautiful notecard size cards with each piece of the 6 x 6 DSP. If you cut all 48 sheets, you can actually make 96 notecards and be ready to celebrate every occasion on your calendar!!

0318-rctc-blog-hop1.pngI love the simple and happy designs of the Picture Perfect Party DSP – isn’t it wonderful when the paper shouts out, “let’s celebrate you – it’s Party time”? The party starts when you take out your supplies to begin creating something fun.

If you haven’t already purchased this suite of coordinating 6 x 6 Designer Series paper, photopolymer stamps, Simple Stripes Embossing Folder, Cardstock Pack, Classic Stampin’ Spots & Mini Binder Clips, whatcha waitin’ for?

You know you’ll definitely use each and every item in the Picture Perfect Party Suite so, if you live in Canada, go order them right now at my “Shop With Me” button on the right side of my blog. All on-line orders receive a special thank you from me including a cute card and a delight and surprise of the month! Now is the best time to order all of the Picture Perfect Party Suite as you’ll qualify for a FREE Sale-A-Bration product for each $60 Cdn you spend from now until March 31st.

1. Be sure to share your contact info with me so that you’ll receive:
(a) a thank you email
(b) a hand-stamped Thank You card in the mail from me
(c) if you are regularly spending at least $50 Cdn over the past six month period, I put you on my list to automatically receive our Annual Catalogue in May, our Holiday Catalogue in August, and Occasions Catalogue in December.

If you believe you’ve checked out from your on-line order as a guest or clicked “no contact” from your demonstrator and so have not heard from me, please email me and we’ll look into this so I can see your info and send you cards, surprise and delight gifts and catalogues.

2. Purchase this stamp set (Picture Perfect Birthday #145519 Photopolymer $21 Cdn) as Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Setpart of an order of at least $60 during Sale-A-Bration and you are eligible to choose one FREE Sale-A-Bration item for each $60 of merchandise. Receive a bonus just from me of my PDF by email with cutting and creating instructions for the notecard set with decorated acetate box (includes instructions for the technique I used for the Polka Dot decoration of the box)!
3. The 2017-18 Annual Catalogue Retiring List will be posted soon by Stampin’ Up! Don’t wait until then as last year many In-Color items were sold out within hours of the list being posted.  We know already that all the 2016-2018 In-Colors products will disappear May 31st including Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim. Now is the time to complete your colour collection so you don’t miss out.

Thanks SO much for stopping by to see my project for the National Craft Month Blog Hop.  Next on the list is Jamie Albaense at  Happy Stampin’!

Anything But the Holidays Blog-Hop

Anything but the HolidaysBLOG

Isn’t it exciting to see all the amazing creativity throughout this Blog Hop? I’m sure you have many favourites and so many projects in mind, each competing to be the first project you’ll make.  I had this card in mind as soon as I saw the Christmas in the Making stamp set — it’s retro enough to be nostalgic and trendy enough to be oh so fun!! I chose a combination of inks that I had used in a class recently and love how Peekaboo Peach goes with Bermuda Bay — so fresh.  Instead of the Christmas ball in this pretty lady’s hand, I chose to fussy-cut by hand one of the presents in another image of this set and pop it up on a  dimensional.  A little bit of bling with a few rhinestones on the dress and the present finished things off — ’cause a girl always has to have a little bling, doesn’t she!!

Our Family & Summer 2017

I can’t believe summer holidays will be over in just a few days. We’ve taken a camping holiday visiting our newly-retired friends in the Okanagan area of British Columbia and otherwise been home for most of July and August. On our way back from BC, we stopped in Vernon to pick up fresh peaches and I’ve canned, jammed, frozen and made pie filling galore–so much delicious fun. In our household, school supplies and back to school clothes are bought and ready to go–I’m not sure we’re all ready for the jam-packed routine again but here we go! It’s grade 12 for our son and high school football season is upon us–practises and games and lots of cheering–I’m so excited to experience this last year in high school as we cheer on our favourite Defensive Back–go Tigers!

While we were away, I didn’t have much Stampin’ time as we attended a jazz music night, visited several Kelowna BC wineries and spent time with friends we don’t often get to see these days.

This Labour Day long weekend, we’re home for the most part so my To-Do list has scheduling as a priority — the classes are planned and now it’s time to schedule dates and get the information out! Watch for some new activities this fall including Stampin’ Bingo and my BOGO retired product sale.
