3-2-1 Stamp Weds Oct 13, 2021: Embossing with Gingerbread Dies

Embossing with Gingerbread Dies 3-2-1 Stamp FaceBook Live Oct 13, 2021

My FaceBook Live this week at Ink and Sparkle Stamping with Sue October 13th used: 3 Dies, 2 Colours of Cardstock and 1 Colour of Ink.

I promise you, this card looks so much better in person.

Did you know you can emboss with metal dies? Yes you most certainly can! The most important part is to remember to keep the side of the dies with the cutting ridges away from your card stock layer. You will see in the video how easy this is. If you don’t still have the silicone embossing mat that Stampin’ Up! sold when we had the Big Shot die machine, you can still do this technique but you’ll use several layers of card stock as your shim. The video gives you a step-by-step method for embossing and I hope you’ll give it a try whether you have the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine or another brand. The technique definitely extends the different ways you can use your dies. I’d really love to see your project if you make a project using this technique. Please send me a photo or tag me (Ink and Sparkle Stamping with Sue) on FaceBook or Instagram.

Here is the link to the video on FaceBook and below that, you will find the tutorial for you to view and/or print. Just click on the blue coloured words and the link will take you there.

My FaceBook Live this week at Ink and Sparkle Stamping with Sue October 6th used: 3 Layers, 2 Stamps (from 1 stamp set) and 1 Embellishment

Many of my customers purchased the August 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit so I wanted to show you the versatility of the kit by making an alternative card. The HOPE Box Paper Pumpkin REFILL kit is available while quantities last. It’s only $13 before shipping and GST — that’s just over $1/card!!!! If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can order it online for direct shipping to you or contact me and I’ll add it to my next order for you and you can pick up from my front porch. There are lots of fun promotions that started this morning so join my email list for updates (I don’t bombard you with constant emails – just one or two most weeks) or check out the promotions on FaceBook at Ink and Sparkle Stamping with Sue or directly at my Stampin’ Up! website: https://stampersue.stampinup.net.

3-2-1 Stamp Weds July 28, 2021: Floating Designer Series Paper

Which one do you like best? The top is on Basic White yardstick and the bottom is on a Pool Party card base.

My project on 3-2-1 FaceBook Live today showed you 2 versions of this card design. On the top card, I placed the panels on a acetate sheet and then onto the Basic White panel of the Hand-Penned Memories and More Cards and Envelope base. I turned the card base inside out so that the Pool Party patterned side was inside and the Basic White panel was on the outside. On the first card, I also used Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere the strips of Designer Series Paper directly to the acetate sheet and then used the same adhesive to glue the panel to the card base. It is raised more than the second version which used regular Stampin’ Seal to adhere the Designer Series Paper to the acetate sheet. Which version do you like best? Leave me a message here on my blog or today’s FaceBook Live post (see below for link to that!) and I’d love to hear what you think.

Here is the Christmas version I designed for a demonstrator tutorial coop I participate in. What do you think?

3-2-1 Stamp Weds July 21, 2021: Expressions in Ink Arrow Card

Arrow Card using Polished Pink and Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper

Today on 3-2-1 Stamp FaceBook Live, I made a fun fold card that I first saw when a demonstrator friend sent me a similar card. I participate in a monthly swap with 6 other area demonstrators and each month we have a stamp set to work with and each one of us have a rotating assigned focus for our card such as colouring, fancy fold, die cuts, etc . This type of fold really is simple once you do the scoring and then I’m sure it’ll go on your list for your next project. The tutorial has a grid sheet showing you where to make the pencil marks and do your scoring; the video definitely makes it simple and I hope you enjoy duplicating the project. If you live in Canada and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, please get in touch with me if you’d like a copy of the holiday mini catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Snowflake Wishes card using Beaty of the Earth Designer Series Paper and new stencil

On 3-2-1 Stamp FaceBook Live at Ink and Sparkle Stamping with Sue, it was another Christmas project. Today I was playing with one of the stencils from an upcoming catalogue and White Craft Ink. This was a very simple card but I hope you are just as pleased with the design as I was when I was done. The video for this card is simple and I hope you enjoy duplicating the project. 3-2-1 Stamp Weds July 7, 2021: Pinwheel Tower Evergreen Elegance

Evergreen Elegance Fun Fold: Pinwheel Tower card (see video for alternative DSP/patterned paper)

This project on 3-2-1 Stamp on FaceBook Live today ended up being a toughie! I don’t think I’ve ever demonstrated a card and then when done, decided that I didn’t like it! The card I had made with Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper looked great to me so I cut supplies with a Christmas theme, fully expecting everything to go just fine. Well … I ended up adding a few things to the original card and the photo above is what I ended up with and this time I like it!

I changed the original front of the card so that it now is the back. Here’s a picture of the back – I preferred it this way so that there is room to add a personalize greeting on the Basic White panel.

Here is the link to the 2 videos on FaceBook (the original & the card update) and below that, you will find the tutorial for you to view and/or print. There are 2 videos as I wanted to give you an update on the 2nd version of the card. I really do recommend using the tutorial to get the measurements you need for card stock and Designer Series Paper (DSP) and then using the video to assemble. It’s tough finding wording to explain this one so, as usual, if you have questions about this project, please let me know. Click on the blue coloured words below and the link will take you to the video(s).
