3-2-1 Stamp Weds April 13, 2022: Daffodil Daydream Card

Daffodil Daydream #157786 and Beyond the Horizon March 2022 Paper Pumpkin Refill #160330

I just love the hand-painted look to the Beyond the Horizon card bases in the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit and New Horizons Designer Series Paper. The talented concept artists at Stampin’ Up! hand-paint the originals of these designs and then the paintings are photographed and the Designer Series Papers are printed from the photos. What an amazing group of artists and we get to use their beautiful works in our paper crafting – just another reason to love working with Stampin’ Up! products!

This is definitely one of the more simple cards I’ve made lately. I started with an old card I kept from a few years back. For today’s design, I wanted the cross to be centre focus and chose the pre-printed card base from the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin with that in mind. I liked how the swirl of colours near the upper part of the cross complimented the dark woodgrain and gold filagree of the cross itself. You may be surprised to know that I actually turned the intended direction of the card upside-down to make this effect work for the design. Don’t be afraid to use your supplies in a different way than originally intended — you never know if you’ll like it unless you try!

On the video today, I mentioned several of the current promotions at Stampin’ Up! Be sure to check my demonstrator website at stampersue.stampinup.net for all the details.

Last Chance Products: There are so many amazing products that unfortunately are not carrying over to the 2022-23 Annual Catalogue (it goes live May 3rd by the way). It is a great time to add some exceptional products to your Stampin’ room. We used the Give It a Whirl Dies at my last Cookies & Cards class in March – if you didn’t attend but want to see the project, just let me know! Some of my retiring favourites include:

The October 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit was one of the best Christmas kits I’ve seen and this week’s card can be made with the parts from the kit if you have it or the refill but most definitely can be done with other supplies. In the current July-Dec Mini Catalogue, you’ll find the beautiful specialty Designer Series Paper called Peaceful Place. The sheets are tones of grey with accents of silver and can be used for the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis technique I first saw on FrenchieStamps.com. I have a few Oct 2021 Peaceful Christmas Paper Pumpkin Refills that I can sell to you Cash & Carry but only While Supplies Last.

I hope you enjoy using the technique and I’d love to see you comment on the FaceBook post whether you watch live or on the replay.

My FaceBook Live this week at Ink and Sparkle Stamping with Sue October 6th used: 3 Layers, 2 Stamps (from 1 stamp set) and 1 Embellishment

Many of my customers purchased the August 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit so I wanted to show you the versatility of the kit by making an alternative card. The HOPE Box Paper Pumpkin REFILL kit is available while quantities last. It’s only $13 before shipping and GST — that’s just over $1/card!!!!
