3-2-1 Stamp Wednesday July 6, 2022: Christmas in July – Peace to You Card

A new stamp set from the brand new July to December 2022 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue

I know some of you start early on your planning and making your Christmas cards so here is my first Christmas card of the season. This card ended up being my submission for a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator card exchange I participated in as well as my card for my Ink and Sparkle Stampers demonstrator team meeting this month. The tutorial is available further down this post and you can take a peek at my FaceBook Live for this card if you’d like as well. I decided to use the Brushstroke Specialty Designer Series paper from the new Annual Catalogue as I suspect it is a easily missed item on page 139. It is as beautiful paper with a slight shimmer to it and I would say it is a bit thinner than other Designer Series Papers. It’s strong enough to take Multipurpose Liquid Glue without buckling and it comes in 3 very pretty colours: Night of Navy, Blushing Bride and Soft Succulent. Take a look see!

The other item I used in today’s project is the Stamparatus. I don’t often say to you that “you need this” but this time I’m going to say it! It allowed me to get a repeated re-inking of the stamp and positioning it perfectly on the card stock. Secondly, if you are doing multiple cards, it is such a time-saver as you change out your card stock and repeatedly get a perfect placement for your stamping on the project. You should definitely add it to an upcoming order if you don’t have one!

Here is today’s FaceBook Live project … a little candy to celebrate a special day! Click below to watch the FaceBook video and the weekly free tutorial is below that so that you can download it and print it if you wish. On the video, I mention one of the alternative projects using the same fancy fold. The Calypso Coral floral patterned paper is from the Symbols of Fortune 12″ x 12″ DSP (#157652) … so pretty! The 3rd Designer Series Paper uses the Flowering Fields 12″ x 12″ DSP (157670). You get the idea ,,, change out the pattered paper and you have a beautiful “new” project! Enjoy the card design and, as usual, leave a comment on the FaceBook post with the video and you’re entered to win one of the cards of that post.

Evergreen Elegance Fun Fold: Pinwheel Tower card (see video for alternative DSP/patterned paper)

This project on 3-2-1 Stamp on FaceBook Live today ended up being a toughie! I don’t think I’ve ever demonstrated a card and then when done, decided that I didn’t like it! The card I had made with Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper looked great to me so I cut supplies with a Christmas theme, fully expecting everything to go just fine. Well … I ended up adding a few things to the original card and the photo above is what I ended up with and this time I like it!

I changed the original front of the card so that it now is the back. Here’s a picture of the back – I preferred it this way so that there is room to add a personalize greeting on the Basic White panel.

Here is the link to the 2 videos on FaceBook (the original & the card update) and below that, you will find the tutorial for you to view and/or print. There are 2 videos as I wanted to give you an update on the 2nd version of the card. I really do recommend using the tutorial to get the measurements you need for card stock and Designer Series Paper (DSP) and then using the video to assemble. It’s tough finding wording to explain this one so, as usual, if you have questions about this project, please let me know. Click on the blue coloured words below and the link will take you to the video(s).
